Professional Certifications
CPE Programs of The McFarland Institute are designed to assist qualified participants to achieve the objectives of ACPE accredited CPE as contained in the ACPE Standards. In addition, the programs of The Institute assist participants to complete their CPE requirements for certification by the
Association of Professional Chaplains and the
National Association of Catholic
Chaplains, the agencies which certify professional chaplains in the United States.
In addition, the program in Supervisory CPE assists qualified participants to learn the art and craft of supervision of clinical pastoral education programs in order to prepare for certification as a supervisor. The
supervisor will assist participants up to certification as an Associate Supervisor with the
Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.
All the programs of CPE at The Institute are accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.
